“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” ― Hippocrates (460 -370 BC)

Referred to as the “Father of Modern Medicine,” the Greek Physician Hippocrates was one of the most prominent figures in the history of medicine. He not only founded the Hippocratic School of Medicine, but his teachings and influence revolutionized medicine in ancient Greece, connecting disciplines of theurgy and philosophy into the curriculum and way of understanding health and utilizing various healing methods. Truly ahead of his time, Hippocrates was boldly one of the first people to believe and openly express that diseases were caused naturally, not because of superstition and gods as it was commonly believed at the time. He created awareness about environmental factors, diet, and living habits that could possibly lead to that chance of developing certain diseases, disorders, and/or conditions. Therefore, it could be prevented by taking healthy measures to live a disease-free lifestyle. At Treasure Trove, we strive to continue the legacy of the great Hippocrates and many more pioneers of health like him. Let us be a source and guide for a healthy lifestyle that can be shared, cherished, and benefited by you and your loved ones.
